For me, executing my art takes me on a creative journey, hopefully resulting in a gratifying conclusion. Once I am struck with an inspirational idea, I am compelled to explore and create a piece of art with the goal of satisfying my own curiosity and that of the viewer. I begin a piece by choosing a subject or technique that speaks to me in that moment. The inspiration can come from people I know, artists whom I have studied, or techniques I want to emulate, all of which derive from a deep connection to the stimulus. I want to create work that can stop a viewer in their tracks and capture their curiosity as they explore the piece. The body of my work reflects my life experiences and my love of all types of art.
