Daniel Haile
Storytelling is at the heart of my work. I am fascinated by how a single image can capture a moment while suggesting a larger story beyond the frame. As a Deaf artist, my experiences shape how I observe people and explore themes of disability, discrimination, diversity, isolation, and human connection.
Working traditionally and digitally, I draw inspiration from portraiture, comics, cinema, and Baroque art. Through dramatic lighting, expressive figures, composition, and color, I strive to create a cinematic atmosphere.
Ultimately, I want my work to give voice to overlooked experiences while inviting viewers to observe, connect, and imagine their own stories.
