About the artist
I create symbolic sculptures that explore the relationship between nature, memory, conflict, resilience, and the human spirit. My work begins with discovery: I seek naturally formed materials such as driftwood, stone, minerals, and metals, believing they already carry histories shaped by time. Rather than imposing meaning upon these materials, I collaborate with them, allowing their inherent character to guide the creative process.
By combining these elements with carefully crafted forms, I create unified visual narratives. My artistic philosophy rests on four essential pillars: Uniqueness, Beauty, Precision, and Meaning. Through symbolism, I aim to inspire reflection on universal themes such as freedom, hope, transformation, faith, and renewal.
Growing up in Armenia and later building a life in the United States broadened my perspective and reinforced my belief that art can bridge cultures and generations. My goal is not simply to produce visually compelling sculptures but to develop a distinctive artistic language—one that invites viewers to look more closely, uncover multiple layers of meaning, and engage in a lasting dialogue between the natural world and human imagination.
