About the artist
Whether I paint in muted colors or bright primary colors, I let the combinations of color guide the work. I try not to manipulate the paint. I let the paint guide me. At times, the stories are abstract with linear lines. Other times, I paint figures that have movement and grace .I remove and apply many layers of paint to create texture. I want the viewer to ask questions of the work and provoke an emotional response. My current work are abstract mixed media paintings using acrylic paint, ink and water colors to tell a story. I love using colors that stimulate a strong response.
