About the artist
At 93, George Dell continues to embrace painting as a deeply personal and rewarding part of his life. After studying law and running a personal business in visual merchandising for 26 years, Dell has found in painting a different form of creative expression.
For Dell, painting is both relaxing and instinctive. His approach is guided less by formal explanation and more by the satisfaction of creating. The process offers him an opportunity to follow his instincts and engage with art on a personal level.
His background in visual merchandising also brings years of experience with presentation, composition, and visual communication. Today, painting provides a more individual creative outlet, allowing Dell to work intuitively and find enjoyment in the act of making art.
Rather than being driven by a specific concept or subject, Dell’s practice centers on the experience of painting itself. His work reflects a simple but meaningful belief in art as a source of relaxation, instinct, and personal satisfaction.
