Peyton, The Artist

Inglewood, CA, United States

My paintings focus on the theme of introspection, using the experiences of others as well as my own to dive deeper into the mental, emotional, and spiritual processes of growth.

I like to combine the styles of realism, abstraction, and expressionism utilizing mediums such as gold pigment, foil, oil paint, and spray paint to enhance the characteristics and emotions of the subjects that I paint. The 23k gold foil and pigment used in all of my paintings is sourced from Venice, Italy, “The City of Gold.” It is symbolic of the wealth and serenity that is found on the journey to self-understanding, while paying homage to the city that helped me find my voice as an artist.
