My paintings are haikus to the beauty of nature. With the heart of a poet and the touch of a pianist, I capture a feeling, a moment, or an idea, as I journey through seasons, places, and melodies. I experiment freely with color and form to express my emotions freshly and spontaneously.
My latest body of work includes gouache and ink paintings of flowers. During the lockdown, I would spend the afternoon in my house garden looking for solace. Sitting there I would paint the beautiful blooms my husband arranged and planted. As I ran out of flowers to paint, I began capturing their inside, focusing on the details. The series reflects the evolving beauty of that natural oasis, inviting the viewer to indulge in quiet reflection.
