I am a storyteller and my main artistic goal is to engage viewers. This starts when I am inspired by an image and begin to imagine a story to share. Its complexity increases by combining several images through digital collage and transformation. By blending abstract and figurative elements I introduce intentional ambiguity to the story’s interpretation. It then evolves with a photo transfer to make a foundational base for mixed media and acrylics. The final layer is an overlying oil painting that presents my story. My hope is that enough ambiguity and complexity is there to invite viewers to create their own story.
