As an Iranian photographer, lawyer, and philanthropist, I dedicated my life and career to enhancing the living conditions of the underprivileged. Through art and photography, I draw attention to matters that are of the utmost importance, yet easily overlooked, particularly the hardships faced by female breadwinners. I have lived with deprived communities to experience their struggles first hand and be able to depict their suffering more poignantly in my work. I firmly believe that even the smallest effort can leave a giant footprint in the world and we can all live harmoniously regardless of our nationality, race, or religion. My latest photographic series is entitled “The Legends of the Phoenix.” In ancient mythology the Phoenix was a sacred bird that lived forever, holding magical healing powers. It was associated with the worship of the sun and symbolized rebirth and eternity. Just as the Phoenix rises from its ashes after bursting into flames, humans can rise above their difficulties and become messengers of hope, friendship, and harmony for all the creatures of the Earth.
