My artistic inclinations start from the binomial: realism and imagination. I feel very comfortable improvising on a blank canvas; sometimes without an initial sketch. I use some techniques that are now in disuse, such as aniline dyes, and other natural pigments that give chromatic softness to my paintings. I detest turpentine - I use virgin olive oil, instead, which gives more texture to the colors and allows me to slow down the drying process. Normally I take my time to get an optimal light which allows me to see different contrasts.
