I make urban abstract landscapes inspired by modern architectural concepts. Having worked in construction for many years, to me making a painting is akin to erecting a building. Using a palette knife as my main tool, I build thick layers of acrylic paint, forging textures and reliefs with matte and gloss mediums and pumice stone. The images do not depict specific locations. Rather they are meant to evoke personal references and memories in the viewer about places they have been and experienced, making them their own.
