As a clinical oncologist in Brazil, working with with public health, I have to fight not only against cancer, but with a myriad of social and economic problems of a population whose, by majority, does not have access to minimum of basic rights.
A cancer diagnosis is devastating in any family, and I, as an oncologist, I need to provide better treatment that is available through Brazilian public health, and help them through the process of cure or control of the disease.
My painting, mostly oil on canvas, is my way to treat myself after burnout syndromes, and involves all the feelings that emerge at during my work day.
