ag_artist_statement : I am interested in rescuing the techniques used thousands of years ago, such as fresco, encaustic and tempera. I do easel painting, mural and sculpture. I see the mural as half painting and half architecture because it involves the intervention of spaces. I analyze the polyiangular effect, anamorphism and perspective. I have painted all the techniques and their derivations and mixtures I consider myself an experimental artist, I don't like doing the same, contrary, when I feel that I have already mastered in something, I look for different paths. As for the color palette I like to express vivid and contrasted colors, I use strong colors and irregular textures, transparencies. I am inspired by philosophical thinking to do my works. It is the raw material of the works. Below the surface of all my works is a critical, deep and contradictory thought, never evident, rather metaphorical and symbolic. My sources are surrealism, classical art and its historical derivations, and contemporary expressions. The themes of inspiration are God, religion, quantum physics, women, Mexico and their relationship with other countries, animals, etc.

Using materials such as fresco, encaustic and tempera, his large scale works feature unique stories, landscapes, people, traditions and folklore from Mexican heritage and culture. He is honest in his employment of the Mexican muralist style, using the themes of religion, politics, and Mexican culture intelligently, including surrealist and mythological elements.
