I make highly stylized, barely representational figures of animals, inanimate objects, and humans that express my notion of fundamental states of the human condition. Cast in bronze, the figures coupled with mechanistic objects, convey states of helplessness, foolishness, inertia, immobility, and isolation. They stand as a metaphor for humankind’s never ending struggle and response to its failure in its attempt at understanding the mindless abyss that is our universe.
