Ramez Jamali's fresco tempera works reveal a profound appreciation for natural beauty as a source of creative inspiration and vitality. His experiments with color, surface and medium unfold into bold works rich with texture and dexterous technique. Ramez's works are deeply inspired by and evocative of his origins. He grew up close to the Himalayas, and brings the depth, texture, and earthiness of the rugged mountains into his work by playing with tone and surface within every composition. Additionally, his work is informed by the teachings of his mentor: he studied and apprenticed under the world-renowned artist, Jamali, whose Mystical Expressionist works are among his greatest inspirations. In his own work, Ramez seeks to create something moving and timeless to stir emotion and passion in his viewers.
Originally from Peshawar, Pakistan, Ramez currently splits his time between New York and Florida. His works are well received, they are exhibited across the United States and can be found in many private collections.
