Press Release

David LaBella’s meticulous photographs of the American wilderness capture the innate beauty of organic forms through his keen attention to detail, line, and texture.  Deeply rooted in the historically American tradition of landscape art, famously painted by artists like Thomas Cole and Albert Bierstadt and later photographed by the likes of Ansel Adams, LaBella renders the unadulterated beauty of nature in his carefully composed, uncropped scenes and asserts the primary importance of wildlife conservation.  Following his artistic predecessors, LaBella documents that which remains, preserving nature’s fleeting beauty through the camera lens.  Most importantly, LaBella hopes that the pure beauty of his photographs will inspire an appreciation of nature that will encourage others to conserve the still-pristine areas of wild America.

David LaBella discovered his talents as a photographer well into his adulthood and has pursued a remarkable career as a self-taught photographer.  LaBella photographs subjects throughout the United States and resides in Connecticut.
